The news media find themselves in much-deserved ill repute. The public generally neither likes nor trusts the legacy media. A Gallup Poll just four months ago found that an astonishing 66% of Americans have either little trust (28%) or no trust at all (38%) in the MSM. The category of “no trust at all” stands at an all-time high.
I can't get into the minds of those dishonest journalists, but I suspect that many of them are motivated by more than money. Some of them, no doubt, are true believers in feminist or woke ideology--and that includes both female journalists and male journalists. Only by refusing to acknowledge the existence of female perpetrators of domestic violence, or by trying to legitimate their violence as self-defense, can they maintain the dualistic premise of feminist (or any) ideology: "we" are good, and "they" are evil.
